Latex Review: William Wilde

First Impression

Opening the box, the dress arrived wrapped like a gift, finished with a black satin bow. It’s a small detail, but it sets a tone.

On first inspection, it met expectations. I’ve owned several pieces from William Wilde before, so the material and finish were familiar. This being my first dress from them, I had it on within minutes.

Fit & Feel

The fit is true to size, clinging to the bust, waist, and hips. It’s surprisingly easy to get into, no dressing aid needed, though fastening the zip alone requires a bit of persistence (and some precarious positioning).

Once on, movement is better than expected for the cut. There’s enough give through the lower half to allow a confident stance, while the top remains more structured and close-fitting.

Construction & Quality

The seams are clean and sit flat against the body, giving a smooth, uninterrupted line. The latex has a satisfying weight to it. It’s substantial without feeling restrictive.

It shines up well, which is essential for a piece so reliant on a polished aesthetic.

Fantasy vs Reality

This is where the piece holds up.

It photographs as sharp, minimal, and controlled, and in reality, it delivers exactly that. There’s no disconnect between image and experience.

Worn, it feels both elegant and assertive, with a quiet edge that leans more toward presence than performance.
